The National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano is a protected natural area, entirely included in the province of Salerno, of about 180000 hectares, UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From Paestum to Sapri, hundreds of kilometers of beaches, coves, rocks overlooking the sea, secret caves….. Cilento coast is among the most beautiful in Italy: perched villages and soft hills are the framework of a unique scenery, from the Punta Licosa to the Natural Arch of Palinuro, a monument sculpted by mother nature.

Splendid is also the hinterland, precious oases, verdant woods, flowered valleys, caves, gorges and ravines of unusual architecture and then villages unaltered over time, fortresses, castles.

For nature lovers the vast territory offers a great variety of environments and a reach variety of specimens of animals: 63 different species have been identified.

On the coast and in the inland areas, the Mediterranean vegetation is home to many plants.
Splendid is the Valle delle Orchidee di Sassano, a popular destination for botanical enthusiasts. It is an open-air nature museum of 47 square kilometers, and along a path of approx. 13 km you can admire many different species of wild and spontaneous orchids: ca. 180. A real concentration of orchids! In all the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano 254 species of wild orchids are present.
