Good Ride
The Hotel Venere proposes to discover and appreciate the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano pedaling and having a natural, lively and fun vacation!
Cilento is an ideal place for cycling enthusiasts, those more experienced and prepared and the simple cyclists. The landscape is varied, you can take flat roads along the coasts or to go inside to the mountains for discovering the most demanding routes. The climate is ideal for most of the year, especially from April to October, with wonderful days to ride a bike.

Hiking in Cilento National Park
Hiking is wandering calmly in search of uncontaminated environments, natural beauties, deep sensations. Hiking is traveling to discover the nature and culture of the places you cross, to discover and explore new territories and get in harmony with them. Hiking in the National Park of Cilento is a magical adventure! The Park is a great treasure trove of natural and artistic treasures to be discovered.
You can hike by car, on foot, by bike, on horseback, by boat or canoe, gliding over the sea, to observe long beaches or tiny coves, jagged coasts and high cliffs, suggestive caves, ravines enchanted, hidden islets, beautiful oases, green peaks on which are nestling small villages, old castles, archaeological ruins witnesses of a glorious past, beautiful architecture.

River trekking excursions
Following the course of some of its rivers, in Cilento you can discover places of extraordinary beauty and live unique experiences in contact with nature and history. For those who love exploring, whether on foot, through the rich vegetation, or canoeing, following the lively course of the water, there is nothing better than a trip to the Calore river. This originates from the highest mountain of Cilento, the Cervati, and for long stretches is infested between narrow and high rocky walls, producing five excavations called Gole del Calore. The picturesque stretch between the fourth and fifth gorge in the summer is accessible through Felitto, from where many guided trails for trekking and river routes branch off.

The “Path of the Lovers” at Ascea Marina
A fascinating itinerary that runs from the beach and climbs along the whole “Scogliera” up to the Torre del Telegrafo.
The path stretches for about 2 km with a vertical drop of 140 meters and is one of the most evocative sites of great landscape impact of the Cilento coast, with a breathtaking view

On the beach or unforgettable excursions inland to experience new emotions to discover the beauty of our territory. Participants are always accompanied by an instructor or an experienced rider.

Alento Oasis
Spend a day outdoors and discover nature and fun. The Oasis of the river Alento offers many activities for both your children and adults with walking routes, sports activities, educational trails, sailing, boat trips and much more. You just have to choose the activity that most fascinates you.

Palinuro
You can not miss a visit to the renowned Palinuro, for a nice boat trip visiting some of the many caves of which the most famous is the blue cave, a dive into the past with so much history and also many legends … But Palinuro also offers a long trekking along Capo Palinuro with the view always facing the sea.

Food Lovers

For those who love good food and want to learn about the natural delights of the famous “Mediterranean Diet”: olive oil, wine, fruit, vegetables, cereals, cheeses of all kinds, fish caught in the clear waters of the sea, homemade pasta and a lot of other gastronomic delights.

Cooking classes
There is nothing better than an enogastronomic holiday to get to know and appreciate the aromas and flavors of our lands. This is why the Hotel Venere in collaboration with the Le Macine restaurant has created a special holiday packages of 3/5 days with a Cilento’s cooking courses to transform a beautiful holiday into a great and unique opportunity. The minimum number to activate the course is 6 people.
Courses take place from April 15th to July 10th, 2017 and from September 10th to October 30th, 2017

Workshops
Visit to the farm estates of the typical products of Cilento, such as mozzarella, honey, pomegranate, figs, legumes, with educational workshops to learn the ancient techniques of production.

Walk among the olive groves
Some hours dedicated to the knowledge of nature with a nice walk among the olive groves, learning the secrets of the yellow gold of Cilento and tasting the extra virgin olive oil.

La Lamparata – Fishing and dinner included
You will witness and learn an ancient fishing technique for blue fish. Then a seafood dinner awaits you, at the end, on the beach or in the fishermen’s workshop.

For lovers of history and culture

Guided tour of Elea / Velia
Guided tour of the lower part of the city, to discover the ancient Elea, which later became Velia, between the walls where Parmenides transferred his teachings to the students. The route includes a visit to the southern district, the sacred well, the thermal baths and the Fresco house. On request, the visit can continue on the acropolis where you can admire the Angevin Tower, visiting the museums. From the Tower here is an exceptional view of the entire Gulf of Velia.
